About this wine

Villa Antinori Bianco Toscana IGT is one of the historic wines of the Antinori family, first produced by Marchese Niccolò Antinori in 1931, and its label has changed little since. The original was made from traditional Trebbiano; today it is a blend of Tuscan white grapes with other varieties such as Pinot Grigio and Pinot Bianco, with the mix adjusted each year. The grapes are destemmed and gently pressed, the juice chilled to settle naturally, then fermented at cool temperatures in stainless steel and kept in tank until bottling, with no oak, to preserve its fresh fruit.

Villa Antinori Bianco is straw yellow with greenish hues. The nose is fresh and inviting, with green apple, pear, citrus and a touch of orange blossom. The palate is medium-bodied, smooth and savoury, with gentle acidity and a clean, refreshing finish.

This is a very easy wine to enjoy with food. Pair it with antipasti, salads, vegetable risotto, pasta with pesto, grilled fish, shellfish or roast chicken, or serve it on its own as an aperitif. Serve chilled at around 10°C. Villa Antinori Bianco is best enjoyed young, within two to three years of the vintage.

About Villa Antinori

Villa Antinori is the signature label of the Antinori family, the Florentine wine dynasty with roots going back to 1385. Marchese Niccolò Antinori created the red in 1928, naming it after the family villa and using it to carry the Antinori name to a wider audience; the white followed in 1931. The label still shows the Villa del Cigliano in San Casciano Val di Pesa, in the Chianti Classico hills, which the family has owned since 1546. Both wines are now made as Toscana IGT, giving the winemakers freedom to blend Tuscany’s traditional grapes with international varieties. The result is a pair of dependable, food-friendly wines that capture the Antinori house style in a modern, approachable form.
