Before proceeding with an order, you will be required to show that you have read and understood the following terms and conditions. We recommend that you print a copy of these Terms and Conditions for your future reference.

This website is the property of J. Caxard – Food & Wine Emporium. All material on this website is copyright to J. Caxard – Food & Wine Emporium, and is provided solely for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not use this website for any commercial purpose.

 

Products and Pricing

We take every care to ensure that product descriptions are accurate at the time of uploading products to the website.  We reserve the right to withdraw any product from the website without any prior notification. We also reserve the right to amend prices of products without prior notification.

Our products are priced in Euro. When paying by credit card this is the amount which will be deducted from your debit or credit card.  When purchasing products with sterling or other currencies, debit or credit cards, the exchange rates will be set by the cardholders bank.  These rates fluctuate on a daily basis. For further information, cardholder should contact their bank as exchange rates are not applied by J. Caxard – Food & Wine Emporium.  All prices shown on our website are inclusive of VAT where applicable.

 

Ordering Goods

Once an order is placed you will receive a confirmation email.

All products are subject to availability.  Our display of products on our website is an invitation and not an offer to sell those goods to you. An offer is made when you place the order for your products.

If products that you order are out of stock, subject to a delay or the price is higher than that shown on your order, we will try to contact you at the email address you provided when placing your order. If we cannot contact you or receive no response to our email, we will continue to process any remaining products on your order. We will not supply a replacement product without your authorisation.  If you would like to cancel your order please see our Returns & Refunds Policy.

 

Delivery Policy

We currently deliver within the Republic of Ireland. For orders shipped outside of the Republic of Ireland, additional shipping charges, customs duties, and import fees may apply. These costs are the responsibility of the customer and may vary depending on the destination country.

 

Gift Vouchers

Gift Vouchers will be dispatched within 24 hours (during the trading time of Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm) and can be personalised with a message if requested at the time of order being processed through the Order Notes on the Checkout Page.

Gift Vouchers which are not part of a larger order of food items are sent with An Post.

Gift Vouchers cannot be returned once purchased and cannot be exchanged for cash or other gift cards. 

We cannot take responsibility for any gift vouchers that are lost, stolen or used by someone other than your recipient after delivery. Please make sure your recipient has received their Gift Voucher, as it is their responsibility to keep the Gift Voucher safe.  We use reliable postal services however we shall be under no liability for any delay or failure to deliver the parcels within the estimated timescales

We want you to be delighted with your order from J. Caxard – Food & Wine Emporium. Please read the following carefully before requesting a return or exchange.

1. Damaged, faulty or incorrect items

We accept returns for defective products – that is, items that arrive:

• damaged in transit
• faulty or unfit for consumption
• incorrectly supplied (not what you ordered)

If your order arrives in any of the above conditions, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with your order number, photos and details, so we can resolve the issue promptly with a replacement or a full refund, including the original delivery charge.

2. Change of mind

We do not offer refunds for change of mind, except where you have a legal right to cancel your purchase (see section 4). You can, however, exchange unopened items at our shop (see section 3).

3. Exchanges

We are happy to exchange items, provided that:

• the item is returned in person to our shop: J. Caxard – Food & Wine Emporium, Main Street, Camolin, Co. Wexford, Y21 PF79
• it is unopened and in its original condition
• it is returned within 30 days of purchase, with your order number or receipt as proof of purchase

Exchanges do not apply to perishable or chilled items (such as fresh fish and seafood).

4. Your legal right to cancel (cooling-off period)

If you live in the European Union you have a right to withdraw from the purchase of any item within a “cooling-off” period of 14 working days starting on the day after the day the item is delivered to you. This right applies to all items advertised on the Website except for:

• perishable goods and other items likely to expire rapidly (e.g. hampers and gift boxes containing such items and other food and beverage items, in particular refrigerated items)
• sealed items where the seal has been broken.

To cancel, please contact us within this period. Items must be returned unopened and in their original condition. Unless the item is damaged, faulty or incorrectly supplied, the cost of returning it is your responsibility.

5. Refused deliveries

If you choose to refuse delivery of your order or fail to pay any applicable import charges, the parcel may be returned to us by the carrier. In such cases:

• We will refund the cost of the goods and the original delivery charge once the items are safely returned to us
• Any additional costs incurred (including return shipping, customs charges, or handling fees) will be deducted from your refund

6. Refunds

Refunds will be processed once returned goods are received and inspected (or, for damaged or faulty items, once we have reviewed the photos and details you send us). Refunds are made to your original payment method. Please allow a reasonable processing time for this to be completed.

7. Gift vouchers

Gift Vouchers cannot be returned once purchased and cannot be exchanged for cash or other gift cards.

Promotional Discounts

Coupons, discounts, postage rates and promotional discount codes offered by www.jcaxard.com  are valid only as part of a purchase made on this website.

 

Children

We only sell items to adults (i.e. those aged 18 or over). If you are under 18, you may use this website only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.

 

Colours, specifications and dimensions of products

We have made every effort to display the colours, specifications and dimensions of items on the Website as accurately as possible. The colours you see will depend on the resolution of your monitor, we cannot guarantee that your monitor’s display of any colour will reflect accurately the colour of the item delivered. We may from time to time vary the dimensions, specifications and quantities of items displayed on our Website without prior notice.

 

Alcoholic products

Some of the items available for purchase from this Website contain alcohol. When you place an order for an alcoholic product using this Website, you confirm that you are aged 18 or over.

Goods must be received by a person 18 years of age or older. 

 

Food Hampers and Gift boxes

Hampers and gift boxes are collections of food and non-food items packaged in containers such as wicker baskets, card or wooden boxes. As these products contain perishable items and items with a rapid expiry date, your statutory right to withdraw purchases within the 14 working day “cooling-off” period does not apply to these items. The hampers and gift boxes photographed contain only items listed. This means some wine vintages may vary according to availability and any props used in the photography are not included in the hampers unless stated in the hamper listing.

 

Allergies

If you have an allergy or are shopping for someone with an allergy, please do your own careful research in relation to allergy-related claims on the product. Please be aware that the information we have provided in relation to the products has been taken directly from the packaging of the product. Claims about any product and the listing of ingredients are based on what the supplier has told us. Please satisfy yourself that the products are suitable for you before using.
