Emiliana ECO Viognier 2025, Chile, Organic

This Viognier is part of Emiliana’s ECO range, made by one of Chile’s leading organic and biodynamic producers, and it is certified organic. Viognier, originally from France’s northern Rhône, thrives in Chile’s warm, sunny Mediterranean climate, ripening to full aromatic intensity. The wine is 100% Viognier and is aged for about four months, mostly in stainless steel with a small portion in French oak, which adds a little texture without masking the fruit.

Emiliana ECO Viognier has a golden-yellow colour and a fragrant nose of apricot and lychee with subtle floral notes. The palate is silky and well rounded, with ripe stone fruit balanced by fresh acidity and a gently lingering finish. It is a generous, fruity and elegant white that is easy to enjoy on its own.

Try it with grilled fish or white meats in a creamy or fruit-based sauce, mildly spiced Asian dishes, creamy pasta, mussels or goat’s cheese. Serve chilled at 10–12°C. It is best enjoyed young and fresh, within a couple of years of the vintage.

Emiliana is one of the great pioneers of organic and biodynamic winemaking in South America. Backed by Chile’s Guilisasti family, the winery committed to a less interventionist path in 1998 and was certified organic by 2001. Today it farms around 1,000 hectares under vine across Chile, and its flagship Los Robles estate in the Colchagua Valley is run as a living farm, with a native oak forest, grazing animals and home-made compost all playing their part. Emiliana was the first winery in Chile to earn Regenerative Organic Certification and is also a certified B Corp. Under winemaker Noelia Orts, the range runs from bright, everyday varietals to the celebrated Coyam and the biodynamic Gê, both grown at Los Robles.
